A BIG STORY IS BREWING IN THE BIG EASY!
Religion Reporter Jonna Lightfoot MacLaughlin Continues Her Search for
a Good Story and a Good Man in New Orleans
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., June 2007— NavPress and Jo Kadlecek present the next selection in The Lightfoot Trilogy - A Quarter After Tuesday with a special message: ALL proceeds from the sale of A Quarter After Tuesday will be donated to libraries, Habitat for Humanity and Desire Street Ministries of New Orleans.
In book one, A Mile From Sunday, readers fell in love with Jonna Lightfoot
MacLaughlin, the smart but frizzy number one religion reporter at the Denver
Dispatch, who spends her life searching for a good story, a better man and the best chocolate.
In A Quarter After Tuesday, Jonna moves to a pre-Katrina Crescent City and opens her chocoholic heart to the local treasure of fried dough and powdered sugar, the beignet, all while embracing the horror that triple digit humidity means frizzy hair forever. Now working at the New Orleans Banner, Jonna has yet to find a good news story, a date or even a sense of home, but all of that changes when threats of a gris-gris fill her inbox. With scandal in the Orleans parish and a maze of politics, bachelors and religious beliefs, Jonna gets a real taste of Southern Charm.
Female readers, college students and mystery lovers will enjoy this suspenseful tale spiced with authentic humor, honest questions and plenty of calories! And they’ll help existing efforts to rebuild the city in the process.
